Porsche Design added personal fragrance to its product offerings in 2008, when it launched Essence by Porsche Design in conjunction with Azzaro (a company owned by Clarins). The target customer for Porsche Design scents, according to Azzaro, is “an urban, cultured, intelligent, sporty, and sensual man.”
Essence was followed by the flankers Essence in 2009 and Essence Summer Ice in 2010. Later releases include Porsche Design Sport, Porsche Design Sport L’Eau, and Titan. They are all masculine fragrances with a clean, contemporary sensibility and streamlined packaging with industrial finishes.
