Chloe is a French fashion brand. It was founded in 1952 by Gaby Aghion, an Egyptian who moved to Paris. Her vision was to start a clothing line of ready to wear, or 'prêt-à-porter clothing, which was a very new concept at the time. Chloe was the first fashion house ever to produce ready to wear clothing when haute couture, or made to measure was the norm among the elite. The brand now has ready to wear clothing lines for women and kids, fragrances and accessories like handbags and shoes. The brand is now owned by Richemont Group, a company that owns and manages a number of luxury brands worldwide.
